WOW!! Yesterday we awoke to a pleasant surprise…being named the winner of the People’s Choice Award for Best Restaurant on Roanoke Island. There are so many fantastic restaurants here on the island, and we are incredibly humbled & honoured to have even been nominated let alone voted as the winner. We are thankful for our loyal patrons who have come out to support us during our first year in business as we set our sights on honouring the history of Roanoke Island by establishing a British tavern in Downtown Manteo, serving the traditional food, beer, and spirits of England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales right here on the Outer Banks. We are grateful to our local seafood purveyors and produce vendors who have worked closely with us to help us provide the freshest locally-sourced food to our community. And most importantly, we want to thank every single member of our amazing staff who work so hard every single day. We are extremely excited to move forward into our second year so we can continue to serve the traditional dishes of Great Britain made with fresh local ingredients to locals and visitors alike. THANK YOU to our wonderful community for all the support and for helping us remain open for both lunch & dinner all year long….from the British Isles to the Barrier Islands!!

Four days left until the launch of “YOUR Burger Thursday” and our staff is already coming up with their own favourite burger builds! Bartender Leslie enjoys hers with a 100% American Wagyu Beef patty topped with American cheese, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, HP Mayo, and — of course — an ice-cold Hazy Little Thing by Sierra Nevada. Every Thursday throughout the Winter you can create your own personalised burger with unlimited toppings for $15. Pick from any of our pattied proteins including Wagyu Beef, Welsh Lamb, Wild Game, or a plant-based Impossible Foods burger!

We wanted to take a moment to give a HUGE shout-out to the incredible team at Bangkok Thai-Sushi Duck, NC and congratulate them on their triumphant win as Best New Restaurant in the 2022 Best of the Beach!! While we’d hoped to win it, we can’t even be mad because these folks are doing amazing things up in Duck, North Carolina, and we can’t wait to try ‘em out ourselves!
