Every year, Lost Colony Tavern brings Munich to Manteo with an authentic OKTOBERFEST celebration unlike any other on the Outer Banks. For our third year in a row, we are again bringing the ORIGINAL OKTOBERFEST BEERS served at the very first Oktoberfest in 1810 right here to Roanoke Island along with a special menu of authentic Bavarian dishes during the exact same dates as the Munich festival: September 21 to October 6.

We are also EXTREMELY honoured and excited to announce that once again this year, Lost Colony Brewery's exclusive seasonal “Monkey’s Dunkel” German-style dark lager will be pouring throughout the event to enable you to celebrate the world’s largest beer festival while supporting YOUR LOCAL BREWERY!

Oktoberfest kicks off at 11AM this Saturday and runs for 15 days with our entire staff dressed in their lederhosen & dirndls, so we look forward to seeing you for our most popular event of the year!!

The fresh Oktoberfest kegs have begun to roll in straight from Munich, and our regulars have been anxious for a taste of this year’s offerings of those delicious Oktoberfest märzens. Rather than keeping everyone waiting, we have begun tapping the beers in anticipation of next week’s Opening Ceremonies! We started pouring Hacker-Pschorr last night, Paulaner will be available at 5pm today, and we’ll be tapping Hofbräu München tomorrow. Every year we bring Munich to Manteo during the exact dates of the annual celebration in Germany. This year, Oktoberfest runs from Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, October 6. For 15 days, Lost Colony Tavern will feature original Oktoberfest beers including Hacker-Pschorr, Paulaner and Hofbräu München (as well as a special seasonal dunkel by Lost Colony Brewery) along with a LIMITED TIME MENU of authentic Bavarian food.
