The Lost Colony Tavern Experience

In 1587, England established the first European settlement in "The New World" right here on the north end of Roanoke Island. Three years later, English resupply ships returned to discover that the colony had disappeared without a trace. Over the past four centuries since 1590, The "Lost Colony of Roanoke" has gone down in the annals of history as "America's Oldest Mystery."

On New Year's Day of 2022, best friends Jared Sadler & Geno Seay decided to honour the English history of Roanoke Island by establishing the Outer Banks' first and only authentic British pub. Their goal was to craft a menu that replicated the traditional dishes of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales using locally sourced ingredients, including 100% local seafood from local waters.

In addition to its commitment to supporting our local fisherman & farmers, Lost Colony Tavern is dedicated to giving back to the community through seasonal events that drive funds into local charities by bringing authentic international experiences back home, such as The Festival of Saint Patrick and Oktoberfest, as well as through fun weekly events for locals and visitors alike!
